Hunting Permission Details

Terms and Conditions
  1. By using this permission slip for hunting on MHC lands, the Hunter acknowledges that they have read and accepted all MHC terms and conditions available at www.mhhc.mb.ca/Hunting.
  2. All hunting laws and regulations outlined in the Manitoba Hunting Guide are to be followed, including provincially recognized hunting seasons, limits, and times, as well as the hunting rights and responsibilities outlined for First Nations and Metis People
  3. Hunting permission is granted for the duration of the Big Game Seasons for which the application was made. All MHC lands are closed to Big Game Hunting, from January 21st, 2024 to August 30th,2024.
  4. Failure to comply with any of the referenced terms and conditions will result in the revocation of permission and denial of future permission for a period defined by MHC.
  5. To promote sustainable and safe hunting practices, hunting and the discharge of any firearm is permitted only during daylight hours from ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset.
  6. The use of motorized vehicles is prohibited on MHC lands. Hunters must access hunting locations, conduct their hunt, and retrieve game on foot or by using non-motorized vehicles.
  7. MHC reserves the right to revoke hunter permission, with or without cause. Notice of the revocation will be deemed received at the time the email is sent by MHC or its representative to the email address used on the application form.
  8. MHC requires all hunters to have personal liability insurance. E.g. Manitoba Wildlife Federation membership, or other insurers.
  9. The Hunter using MHC-owned lands shall indemnify and save harmless the MHC, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents and volunteers from and against all actions, claims, suits, demands, damages, liability and expenses in connection with loss of life, personal injury or damages arising from the Hunter’s activities on the MHC-owned lands.
